The flight from Houston to San Jose was uneventful and we cleared customs without a hitch. The [bags arrived on time and a driver was taking us to our Hotel downtown. (That was a bit of a worry for me. I'd made the arrangements via phone and wasn't real sure I'd accurately communicated the information. Had no written confirmation, so . . . .) All went well.

A fungus then grows out of its head and the wasp dies. ... Armando spoke with him and figured out that I could not get fuel today. Something about the fuel being contaminated, and the earliest I could get fuel would be tomorrow afternoon. So I decided to go on to San Jose, the capitol, where there are two international airports about 5 miles apart! I would go to MRPV (Bolanos, where the commuter flights go), maybe get fuel and go on to Panama before dark. But again, this was not to be. ...
