Today's route was brand new to us, from Orange through Gorges de l'Ardèche. I was a little bit excited to see how it would go. After a usual solid Ibis hotel breakfast, the whole gang except Mark, who left early, and Barry, who left VERY early on account of the hot temperatures expected today, shoved off. Getting out of town was very easy at about 8:30am on a Sunday morning with almost no traffic.

... Inges insistence that I will lose weight!

Robert has been surprising us by trying new English words that he is picking up from listening to me - "chicken", "fish" and other day he described something as "very good". Inge just about fell out of her seat! She said she had never heard Robert even attempt another language even dutch whick is her native language and spoken by all her family. I am so flattered and it really made ...

... up on blog writing, this afternoon we are having "dejeuner" (lunch) with Gus and Caroline who are friends of Inge that I met last time I was here. Gus is a Scottish man who met and married Caroline, a french lady and they opened a guesthouse in Vagnas, France (about 15 minutes from here) Both Gus, Caroline and their children all speak very good english which gives my brain a break from constant translating! Gus also has a brother who ...
