... staircase to our front door. Inside, the two level apartment has been newly decorated in shabby chic style. It is 'tres chic'!. We also have our own private tower that can be accessed via another stone spiral staircase and trap-door. Yes, trap door! We enjoyed breakfast on the tower, looking over the roof tops to the countryside beyond. Hard life, isn't it?

... white wine. Delicious!

We spent some time with the kids too and it was cute to see how likened my dad to their Grandpa, Papou ;-) They are the sweetest kids and such a joy to be around. Alexi showed me his Christmas list for the Père Noël; it’s such fun to see kids that age filled with the wonder and magic of Christmas.

All in french too, when things are in context we can both get the drift of whats being said it seems.....

Well, my roommate Martin clarified that it wasn't the locks, it was that the water level was too high so bigger boats wouldn't fit under the bridges. SOR! I mean, DES!

So, last night I had trouble sleeping, ...

This entry by Tom.

Today's route was brand new to us, from Orange through Gorges de l'Ardèche. I was a little bit excited to see how it would go. After a usual solid Ibis hotel breakfast, the whole gang except Mark, who left early, and Barry, who left VERY early on account of the hot temperatures expected today, shoved off. Getting out of town was very easy at about 8:30am on a Sunday morning with almost no traffic.
