... have been blessed. Driving on the right hand side of the road has become natural now and the many roundabouts are easy to manage now, and without the talking tomtom (GPS) we would be lost! We have programmed it to have "Ken" from Australia tell us where to go, and he is very helpful as one quickly looses the sense of what direction you are going in when it is unfamiliar. ... and a large drop in front of us, we had no time to panic as it was upon us before we realised and had to go with the flow, we paddled around and even over some of the rocks and, there was the drop, the canoe went nose first taking us with it and somehow (I'm not sure how) we were down to loud cheers and clapping from the crowd. They were obviously there waiting for people to fall out!!! Pretty sure our faces were a picture when we went over the edge!!! We paddled ...

... Rhône River to Pont-Saint-Esprit, we split up. Dave, Linda and I pulled ahead to ride the longer route that included Chartreuse de Valbonnais and the Gorges de la Cèze while the others took a direct route to St-Martin-d'Ardèche and the start of the Gorges de l'Ardèche.

It was starting to be the hot day it was supposed to become. Luckily at the Chartreuse de Valbonnais, which started out in the early 13th century as ...
