... Mendoza besloten we geen 2 taxi's te nemen (met 5 moet je helaas altijd 2 taxi's nemen) maar met het openbaar vervoer naar het centrum te gaan. Ze hadden ons op de luchthaven wel uitgelegd dat we pasgeld (enkel muntstukken) moesten hebben om in de automaat van de bus te betalen. Dat bleek niet evident voor 5 personen. Door het kopen van wat frisdrank hadden we uiteindelijk genoeg kleingeld gespaard en het avontuur kon beginnen. We namen de bus die stopte aan de luchthaven. ...

So we got on our 10.15pm night bus to Mendoza, and really all should have been well.

Mom and I had had a lovely time cleaning Fred's apartment in Chile, a great walk through town when we arrived first thing that morning, and food, beer and American football at Fred's mecca, The California Bar. Ontem depois de fazer o check-in e tomar um banho parti pra cidade almoçar, pedi uma recomendação pro atendente do hostel e ele me indicou um restaurante que ficava a umas 4 quadras daqui. Muito legal, com uns objetos antigos de decoração nas paredes.. Pedi carne e salada, claro, com um vinho para acompanhar! Experimentar o tão falado vinho de Mendoza. Pedi um de 20 pesos, achei que serviriam uma taça.. ...

... guests have a great time and as one of the last groups to return we treated by having his company the majority of the time whilst we sat for hours and drank his home made wine. He was an absolute character who I’m sure we could have all cracked on with for hours more, but the day took its toll, and we were in need of a big feed and a comfy bed.
