      ... I was pretty terrible at it-- especially since some of the waves were over 10 feet high and the lifeguards were starting to get restless about the swift undercurrent. The waves were a bit intense for what I was used to; I think I need to learn how to bodysurf on waves that won't tumble my body every which way before I hit the big ones. Jim and Jonathan were great, however, and we had a fun time wrestling the ocean for a while.

      ... fact, we went to Downtown Disney that night and purchased our park tickets and browsed around the shops. About the time we left - Disney started their firework show. When we made it back to the campground it was still going on but it appeared to be almost right over us.

      5/26 The first day at Disneyland. We got an early start since it is a holiday. We were in Disneyland for around 8:30; the park opened at 8am.

      ... ride...herky jerky, fast moving...it's like you are in a jeep tearing thru Indiana Jones land...there is air puffing in your face, little mists of water blowing in your face, lots of noise, giant snakes and much neck-snapping turns. Not impressed, but Darrin enjoyed it. I may have even screamed once!

      So that was pretty much it for rides we wanted to do (or not wanted to do, in my case). I had been sent on a mission to find a certain Disney ...
