Life on the square
... taking photos of this very photogenic town. The people here too seemed very friendly and the children all called out to us as we passed. We found a good little bar on the square for people watching and idled away an hour there in the early evening. We watched as a funeral procession made its way to the church and later, back in our room, we rushed out onto the balcony when we heard singing and found the townspeople taking part in a religious procession.

Lovely Lake - Lovely Day
... had to hold on as the truck climbed up the rocky road. We made it to the city and rode around the main square amusing the people until we got back to the police station. Lou went to get the policemen some ice cream in appreciation for their helpfulness. The commanding officer who is learning English also tried to teach us more Spanish and taught us that Lake Suchitlan is very beautiful and then we talked about favorite foods ...
