    ... Francisco Nob Hill (snob hill?) an affluent district, home to many of the city's upper-class families. The Haight-Ashbury district, the center of the 1960s Hippie movement, still has brightly painted houses but looks gentrified now. Michael managed to adapt quickly to driving on the wrong side of the road and follow the intersection etiquette. The drivers seem very patient.

    It felt glorious to sleep in after such a long week. After dragging ourselves out of bed, Jonathan and I grabbed a sandwich at the nearby Whole Foods and piled in the car to drive through Napa. It was a gorgeous sunny day (rain had been predicted) and Jonathan said we were going to a surprise place.

    That surprise place turned out to be Castello di Amorosa, which was so, so amazing. Someone with a stupidly large amount of money ...

    ... is something of a pet turkey and sometimes allowed to roam around.
    I like it when we get to collect eggs from the chickens, and today I got a goose egg too. Other jobs are coop cleaning, general household chores and then various projects. We spent a lot of time on the garden last week, weeding and pulling dead plants, as well as shelling dried beans and planting new ones. The only thing surviving at the moment is the cabbage, and there are lots of squashes ...

    We had lunch at Gott again that has to stop although they are amazing there is no way you can maintain a healthy diet and size eating there...that said it is worth it a few times a year :-) yummy!

    ... Indian café, which was very good and again and then a power nap to pick us up. All very good indeed. Managing quite a few ks of walking the hilly terrain too.
