    ... heads on drugs. We stayed for a while before heading out to find a better bar/club but we didn't have any luck so we headed home.

    ... as usual beautiful, particularly around Lyon green, castles, crops, wineries, sunflowers and canal boats on the river, rolling hills and quaint farmhouses.

    The train station at Nice is like no other, the platform numbers for departing trains are not displayed until about five minutes before departure time so all and sundry with luggage huddle around the main board waiting for the platform number to emerge and then huge rush to get to the correct platform ...

    Nice?...... I'm not so sure. The jury is out!

    ... had already done a complete sticky nose around the apartment and high up on the wall were two cupboards. The base of these cupboards were so high that my outstretched hand did not reach them. (I assumed these cupboards were for storage and not for guests, but the girls thought otherwise and got on a chair to have a look what was in there). In these two cupboards were three doonas.     ... br> Back in Cannes we regrouped at a cafe (with toilet) and worked out a plan.............motorway to Monaco and then take the 'scenic route'. We also gave the Twingo driver (Sam) total control and the rest of us simply followed. The temperature was knocking on 31 deg so it was all about staying calm and enjoying the view!
