We are on our last day in Rimini, and we're both quite glad of it. Not that we haven't had a good time (though the hostel has been a bit rubbish).
The journey down here from Munich was a real slog! It took 8 hours, though that didn't really bother us too much. 8 hours of discomfort on a cramped Italian train however, that was what made it difficult. It was a compartment style train (6 seat per compartment, 3 on each side facing each other) which seemed great when we first sat down ...
... Why am I willingly subjecting myself to this – is it for fun?? Is this pleasurable??
But it somehow is. Being here has challenged my definition of pleasure, fulfillment, contribution, contentment. I've concluded that , in part, the key is through examination and learning to understand what it is that brings us these things - and - to be open to surprises. Sometimes I think we find what we're looking for it in the strangest places...
Ok – I'll get to it ...
... farmstay. It is a whole caravan of 100 or so campers! Very fun people! So we'll see. I still struggle with good byes – so it was a much gentler good bye to instead say see ya later...
Reluctantly I left Roma the next day. With a bit of anxiety, and a lot of stress, I caught my train with about 30 seconds to spare!
And now I'm here! On the farm! Much to share, but that'll wait for the next entry!
So much love to you all!!

... front. The beach is broken into sections each section has a restaurant, sporting stuff (basketball hoops, Volleyball, Gyms, etc.) lounge chairs and umbrellas. Some even have an outdoor gym. The beach is actually sand, which is a novelty for Italy. We picked up some of the free bikes from the hotel and rode all around the city. I stopped and had a quick swim, Outside of the fact both of our asses were completely numb and bruised afterwards (not the best bikes ...
Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, Italy moore_mattjRavenna was somewhere Matt had insisted we visit, so I included it as a day trip in our packed itinerary. Little did I realise this would be the highlight of our trip. Ravenna is possibly the only place on earth where you can visit 8 UN World Heritage sites in less than a day (although we unfortunately only managed 7, as one was closed for renovations).

... the track prices were so high for the gear and we got it for joining the fan club. From here we went to the town of Rimini and tried to find the Italian National motorcycle Museum. The GPS had us in the area but we couldn’t find it , even asking around was fruitless so we drove around the local airport side road amongst farm houses and came upon it tucked up a side road with very little signage. The man was heading out for lunch but also told us ...
Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, Italy kasnsqueak... problems, but too late for a train to Ravenna, so took a taxi. 140 Euro's later I was dropped off outside Hotel Diana. Generally OK - friendly, comfortable, nothing special My room was actually in another building, so we had to walk 2 minutes, and it just started to poor with rain ... When I checked out the guy at reception said "Ah ! If I would have known you were so tall, I would have given you one of our extra large rooms, which we made a couple of years ago when the National ...
... because, not only is that vest wonderful and expensive but, I had all my keys in there. So, I made the trek back to the hostel, which was closed until 15:30. I was hungry so I went to Conad, the supermarket across the street and bought two yogurts. Then I sat in front of the hostel and ate and read until it opened up again. Then, back to the station and back to Siena.
