    ... and once again it was off to the meeting place to hop on the "train" to take us back to the coach.

    Back to Montecatini to an olive farm in the hills, where they explained the manufacture of their oils and we had a rustic farmhouse meal of bean soup and a selection of meats and cheeses. Plus his homemade white and red wine.

    Back to the hotel to pack and make ready for tomorrow and to have an early night. Colds now making us not happy......

    ... Guess what Terri Finn – we saw some great but very expensive nativity scenes - lady was too busy to serve me. I have looked online but can’t follow up. We found a magnificent restaurant called canuleia trattoria and we got to eat outside in the garden – it was lovely and my pasta was good again although Craig’s lamb was even better.     ... forth. I was going to name this post 'how Lucca gave me a sore bum' but felt that was too racy. Oh yes, it has been some time since I have ridden a bike and wow I felt it. But it was marvellousness. Wind in my hair 'yeah F U helmet laws, those who 'ride do decide!!!'

    But it had to come to an end and we mercifully finished our ride with minimal abrasions and headed back by train to Florence.

    ... and skipped the visit to the Basilica and the Cathedral (full to ******* bow with basilicas and cathedrals at the moment) and headed to the town of Pisa.

    Lunch was memorable - it was so nice sharing my fresh air with the smoker on the next table in the open air restaurant. We partook of a gelati before we headed back to Lucca on the train.

    Oh I made some friends!!! How fantastic. So…. You could say… I've had a good day.

    I walked around a little before my course started this morning and Lucca looked a little better today than it did yesterday. Upper school, or uni started back today as there were kids everywhere arriving on motorbikes and pushbikes and lots of hugs and kisses after a long time apart, I think.
