      ... a really good night, another aussie guy gave the girls a dance lesson and i had the odd red wine as a hot air balloon disappeared over the trees and the sun went down.       ... ton figure out were the train was ending, since that is what would show on the board. So I nicely asked a security guard to help and he showed me the posted schedule and found out our train was to viareggio!       ... or maybe some people to meet in Lucca next year. Either way or anyway, it's just awesome to meet people from different parts of the world.

      We all parted company at 11pm after having had beautiful food and wine, lovely company and great conversation. It was raining and quiet when we stepped outside the restaurant, so we all put up our umbrellas and parted company for our own little pads. All is good!!

      ... a phrase in English that said if the ticket is not validated then it is a 40 euro fine per person. He then pointed to the fine print on the back of the ticket to corroborate this. Turns out as this was a regional train with no seat reservations, when you buy the ticket from the automatic ticket machine as we did, then you need to validate, which we didn't. Unfortunately the ticket machine, which spoke perfect English, failed to inform us of this. We tried in vain to ...
