Quinte West, and seek out a rock-- not just any rock but the Bleasdell Boulder which according to the brochure is "one of the largest known glacial erratics in North America, estimated to be 2.3 billion years old." We have enjoyed our rural explorations and today was no different. As we neared Frankford we hadn't found the boulder yet but did follow some of the Trent River and encountered small dams ...

      ... a girl name Christine and though she was not as up to the spiels on the rooms in the museum, this being only the second weekend it was open this season, she was very keen and has a history with the house, having been coming there since she was about 10 years old, even before it became the museum. The research area had quite a large number of books and I did a bit of research and took her card in case I require additional assistance upon my return home. ...

      Every year when March rolls around we can't wait to head to Vermont's best kept secret - Bolton Valley. This year we are glad to have the Casey family joining us for the trip. The temperature at Bolton has stayed on the cool side and the conditions are supposed to be great. We will know soon enough.
