    ... in Adolphustown. Unfortunately, when we got there the obelisk monument was laying on its side with caution tape around. It had been taken down to fix the base which was crumbling. We had lunch in the park, also on the shores of Lake Ontario, or one of the bays of the lake, and then we visited the museum and research centre on the grounds, housed in the Allison House (built in the late 1800s if memory serves me).     Every year when March rolls around we can't wait to head to Vermont's best kept secret - Bolton Valley. This year we are glad to have the Casey family joining us for the trip. The temperature at Bolton has stayed on the cool side and the conditions are supposed to be great. We will know soon enough.
