Early start today - breakfast at 8am - I think this is probably the earliest we have had breakfast all week. We had two options today - the longer route included a visit to Eyrignac Manor Garden and we hadn't done a garden visit yet. It was also said to be one of the most beautiful formal French 18C gardens. The longer route hd some significant hills at the start of the day - within the first 20km. Although it had been foggy the morning ...

... a pub in Grolejac. 3 of us had pizza and 2 had salads - Sue had gizzard salad. It made my stomach do back flips and I couldn't eat much of my pizza - it had also come out with a raw egg in the middle of it. We then travelled along the (piste cycable) rail trail - it was a slight incline for about 2 km and was in dappled sunlight - beautiful. We called into Carsac hoping to get an icecream and also call into the glass blowers workshop. Unfortunately we couldn't find ...

My lunch was not exactly what I throughout I had ordered. thought I ordered a salad - a meat platter with lots of foie gras and I think it was a tripe sausage came out. Couldn't do it - nibbled on a few things I was sure of and left the rest. Ordered a wine and a carafe came ...

... on the menu..... The poor guy tried to explain, and indicated his stomach, and then we managed to get the word "pork" as well, so it was decided that it was pork-belly.... Now, I actually love baked pork-belly - delicious! But, well....ummm....It's not quite fact....NO! When it arrived, I thought it was a pork filet.... Then when I cut it , it didn't look that flash.... Damned ugly in fact....even repulsive, or ...
