No, not the black death of yesteryear, but the beach!
Seems like a long journey to get here. Ever since arriving in France we’ve been ‘heading south’ with the goal of arriving at the Medeterranian Sea. Then the last few days of leaving the Pyrenees was very slow indeed. We tried to take the canal we loved soo much before Tolouse to find that it was only a tiny dirt footpath with lots of large roots as obsticals. We ...
I've spent the last week in Montpellier. My grandparents moved out of their old apartment into a new one, and gave the old one to my dad. He is going to rent it out eventually, but for the time being, I was allowed to stay there. There wasn't much there...not much at all. Here is a list of the things that I had available to me:
1 bed
1 desk
1 mini fridge
1 TV
1 dvd player
1 bidet
That's it. There was no hot water ...
What a waste of a day...
Go to Nimes and the national parks people said..... we ended up at a campsite way out of Montpellier and the highlight of our day had been the supermarket!!!!
The national park was lots of farm type marsh land... not what we had imagined. Nimes seemed pretty and lots of well preserved Roman things but the traffic was a nightmare and too hard to park so we kept driving with a plan to go out in Montpellier that ...

The girls all went to church and Mathias and I did the dishes from the night before, got ready and went to the store to get stuff to make sandwiches. Guess what I had in mine… Bet you cant guess… yes I had tomatoes and mozzarella J
We hopped into the car and headed to the gorgeous Mediterranean sea. I layed out under the ...
... lick his wounds after crashing his bike in the desert. There is a nutty fella with a Fresian coloured URAL and sidecar from Hungary, returning from doing the world famous (in Bamako) Budapest to Bamako Rally. We tell him we'll see him on board - we have urgent matters to attend to. Like celebrity basket cases after a 2 week stint in The Priory, we dump our bags in our Lilliputian cabin and head straight for the bar. Cold beer tastes amazing after this abstinence, and pretty soon we end ...
Sete, France barneyandpierWe took the TVG bullet train from Paris to Toulouse - about 5 hours. Very fast, clean and fun. We could see the Pyrennes in the distance.
