... at down at venice beach. It turned out Kate and Wayne owned roller blades which fitted us pretty well and they convinced us to borrow their car to go down to the beach. We were a bit reluctant at first as we were pretty worried about driving on the other side of the road but we decided to give it a go anyway. ... one way fare was just $1.75 each for the short 2.5km trip. It was straight down Sunset Boulevarde.
Our train was on the electronic board already, set to leave on time at 10.10am, but we had a while before boarding time. Just as well, because the queues at baggage check in, and then seat allocation were both huge. Also managed to change our get off point from Emeryville to Oakland (Jack London Square) where our Hotel is located.
Eventually got our seats ...

... there was a premiere for jurassic world on the day we left. Didn't see any stars though! As we fly to paradise in Fiji, the few days in LA have been good and have been a big difference to most of what we have seen so far (everything is so expensive!) and it is an experience everyone must do. 10.45am which was hard to stomach since we'd pulled up and parked at
8.45am. Still, we got in and the longest queue we had all day was 25
minutes, most were only 10-15 minutes or less.
