The staff is very attentive, remembering everyone's name and making you feel like at home. The rooms nicely decorated, clean and the open air bathroom a highlight. It's a nice location to say when planning on going snorkeling or diving in the area, or when crossing from Java. Personal favorite moment at the hotel was the 5pm tea, when the staff serves tea and local sweets to all guests in the hotel.

We left Kalibaru early heading to the ferry to cross to Bali Island. The time zone in Bali is different than Java by 1 hour, and we wanted to use as much time in Bali as we could.
The ferry to Bali is friendly, we did not have to wait muhc before we started crossing, but did have about half an hour wait before being able to dock in Bali. It …

... banana splits. It started out well – they went to a tree a few metres away and picked 4 bananas right off the tree. That was the best part because when they brought it out, they had cut the banana into 4 and put the slices on a plate. In the middle of the 4 slices, they had put ice cream that was like the stuff found in the cheap cups with the wooden stick back home. Definitely not delicious! The banana was tasty though and we had a good ...

He's also a beat boxer, great whistler (watch out Guerin) and loves JLo! He graced us with his talents on the boat ride today. I could stay on this side of the island for a few more days, but instead will finish out my time on Bali in Seminyak...starting tomorrow ...

Gary chose the Eagle at $3 NZD, he was super cool. Jai and Tiernan chose the Albino Python Anaconda. Now he was coooooool, and moved fast. The snake was 210,000Rph, so $21 NZD. Still crazy!!! This was an awesome experience for the boys, being so close & touching stroking these creatures, we were over the moon.

We continued up the mountain where Putu stopped for us to feed the monkeys. ...

... about 20m below me. I hope the diving on Lombok is better! That evening i went to a restaurant with free wifi and bumped into the German couple again and spent the evening with them which was really nice. Next day i did my third dive at ‘Close Encounter’ in Pemuteran Bay which was just as good as the dives i did at Menjangan. Okay so there’s no big drop off wall but there are just as many fish and ...
