We had a beautiful warm summer day to do a 50 mile cruise down a section of the Hudson River. The Catskill Mountains were in our western view most of the way. We took on about 120 gallons of Valvtech Diesel about halfway. While swimming in the refreshing pool we met a nice couple on the Rainbow Connection from Coxackie NY. They brought us fresh made brownies and pleasant conversation after dinner. ...
... You can easily spend the day. Saw huge Vanderbilt mansion driving on to Salem witch museum. Long 4 hour drive. Boston tomorrow! LJ
FDR's home and presidential library had numerous unique artifacts relating to the Roosevelt's life; that were well presented, and very extraordinary. I hope to return some day and see the rest of the interesting buildings on the Roosevelt estate. PJ
Hut 2... 3... 4... Visited West Point military academy for a look around. Probably not going there... But very cool looking around with the outstanding views and prestigious schedules. PJ

... Mt. Rushmore, Lake Powell and Yellowstone. Mt. Rushmore was awesome because it was so big. Lake Powell was awesome because we got to go on a speedboat. Yellowstone was awesome because there were so many animals.
I loved Lake Powell. I really liked the speedboat, but I also liked looking at the mountains and canyon walls surrounding it. I think it was cool how the lake is only separated from ...
... a groundhog. Unfortunately, there were also a lot of dead animals.
We found a Ramada Inn just off the interstate at Poughkeepsie. Tomorrow, we plan to do I 84 to Scranton which was actually today's final destination. Then we turn south on I 81 to Winchester. If we make good time, we will escape from the highway to try our luck on the back roads again.
5 am wake-up so I am off to bed now.
