    ... just a short distance away from the old town. Not suprisingly we found we didn't need to stray far to reach areas more frequented by locals than tourists. There was no shortage of shops and restaurants in the outdoor walking mall that spanned several blocks. Still, we had definitely had our fill of crowds in any form and ready to board our plane bound for Mallorca off the coast of Spain. We were looking forward to a bit of country living for a few days.

    Sunday, August 25 Everyday has provided Meg and I with new opportunities to see and do things we never could in the States. Today was no exception, and the bike ride to Karlstejn Castle was exactly what we needed on day five of VanHam Eurocation.     ... morning. It was a true delight, nice museum and beautiful work. There was also a video of his life which left me with the impression that this man was a machine, churning out lots and lots of work over his lifetime.     ... hill on cobblestone may be one of the most difficult things I've encountered on a bike. My favourite part of the tour was lunch, as our guide suggested we all go to Lokal for food, the place I had gotten a beer from the day before and I was planning on going back to eat anyways.
