... bathroom shared between four rooms. Nick and Jess had a double bed and Mark and I had bunk beds (flash back to childhood!) The hostel had a large common area (only WiFi worked there) and an industrial kitchen to cook in. We didn't mingle with any other travelers, but we did seek guidance from the manager as to where the great stops along our drive to Queenstown would be. Then it was lights out as we had to leave by 8 am for Queenstown for BUNGY JUMPING!

... ice that had fallen off the top of the glacier and we watched it crash down breaking into hundreds of pieces. Apparently, blocks of ice the size of a house can break off at anytime. We were on the glacier for just under 3 hours when the helicopter came for us. The tour was only 3 and a half hours anyway so we didn't miss too much because of the bad weather. We got back to the town and traded all our glacier clothes in then all 11 of us ran across the road ...
... up, they get a unique experience really because the ice formations are constantly melting. It was a really interesting experience, especially as i found i could actually remember studying this stuff and could see it brought to life in the glacier.
