    ... got his old Land Rover out and took us all down to this private beach. We sat in the back. It was great fun. When we got to the beach we walked along the estuary to the sea. It was very pretty. We even got to climb the rocks. Just like we do at Gerringong.

    We climbed back in the Land Rover for the trip home. This time Dad sat in the back with us. He reckoned it was pretty cool too.

    On our way to Sidmouth we stopped Restormel Castle. We are definitely getting our monies worth from our English Heritage pass. With this pass (that we bought in Dover in June) you get free admission to all English Heritage sites and a discount (half price) in most other sites throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.     We got woken up at 7am this morning and it was still dark. Terrible.

    Maddy and I went downstairs to get a baguette and we had breakfast and then had to clean the apartment. It wasn't too bad - not as long as it took to clean Elle's house!

    Dad wanted to be on the move by 9am and Mum had arranged for our host Cleo to meet us at 8:45am. However, she was late and didn't turn up until 9:10am so we just gave her the keys and left.

    Got flight on Skybus from Exeter International Airport to St. Mary's with Phil. Only 15 kg luggage allowance each plus a very small handbag measuring no more than 20 x 15 x 15 cm. needless to say we were both over the luggage allowance - 4kg excess each plus 4 kg for the shared NT laptop. They charged us £36 for excess then, as the plane was too heavy for take off, they had the cheek to take ...
