BEST DAY OF WHOLE TRIP!
... One young Puerto Rican girl got partway up the steepest rock face and was very frightened. We encouraged her along and then an Israeli chap held her hand and helped her up the rest of the way to the summit. Pretty durn proud of ourselves we were, lol. 2 crazy Israeli’s pulled out their wee stove and brewed coffee – hilarious to smell fresh coffee at the top of a mountain! Much more of an effort than we could possibly have imagined. ...
The Irish are NUTS!!
... by Mark Foyle. His grandma saw the potential of the place (a former 6 bedroom home now 20) and all the lovely land around and purchased it in 1968. Of 3 grandson's he has this one while his 2 brothers manage the Foyle hotel in Clifdon. Great fun to learn all these things about interesting people.
To begin the day though, breakfast at Ardara with Paul - what the heck?? we've had ...

We had meal at one of the pubs and listened to two guys playing on ...

We walked in and there were no more tables for 4 available, and just as we walked towards a bar in the corner, a nice man jumped up to give us his table. This set the scene for what was a fantastic meal in a pub with great atmosphere! Westport immediately struck me as a beautiful city with a great deal of Irish charm!
After lunch we hit ...
Connemara from a Tour Bus
... bus driver stopped and let us all fed apples to one of the these Ponies. The Connemara Pony is know to be hardy and strong from living in the rugged conditions of Connemara.
Overall, the bus tour was a lot of fun. This was partly due to the beautiful weather and the people I was with. Through the university, we got a deal with a local tour bus company and now we can go on other bus tours for free! This weekend we plan to take the Cliffs of Mohr bus tour.
