    ... the car backwards away from the gate entrance and parked the car on the side of the road on the Canadian side. Ben spoke with the Canadian border patrol office to let them know what was going on.

    I thought, "No problem, we'll just call AAA using our iPhone which should have reception by now, right?" NOT!!!! There is no reception for 20 miles!

    Ben called AAA from a pay phone (A PAY PHONE!!! It is the weirdest thing ...

    ... ride this morning to The Old Post Office Cafe in Mt. Vernon. . . Just under thirty miles with lots of hills . . .     ... weather only got better, and the views even more spectacular - some of the houses and estates were beyond comprehension in size and grandeur.

    Approaching the coast of Maine, I was reminded about how beautiful the rocky shoreline is, and how much I had enjoyed being there, even on foggy, rainy days. Today in the sunshine, it was beautiful, but in a completely different way.

    We started today with chats with our camp neighbors. They gave us some great info on roads to take and wished us well. Today we leave Vermont on our quest for Maine lobster.
    The state is beautiful. The farms are sprawling and mixed with lots of lakes and rivers. I hope we continue to see more covered bridges.
