... the beach called Platis Gialos. This beach actually legitimately had sand which was pretty exciting after all the pebble beaches we had seen. The beach was lined with restaurants and bars and there were the usual umbrellas and sun beds everywhere. We wanted to wander before getting settled as Eloise needed a shop and I wanted to see the other beaches of the area. All the beaches are connected by little gravel paths around the cliffs so ...

After getting somewhat of a good nights sleep, we all woke up nice and early in order to tackle Athens! The hotel breakfast buffet was delicious! Full of pastries and an assortment of European cheese, which mom fell in love with. The heat at the Acropolis was unbearable even at 9 in the morning. It is from here that ...

... to cancelled flights. Low and behold ! We are the "guest of the day" we are upgraded to club level, nicer room, free wifi and 2 complimentary drinks. It was like they knew what happened when we arrived Athens and trying to make it up to us. ( just kidding). I'm having flashbacks from when Demetra and I were "family of the day" at Animal Kingdom Hotel. Although they did not come out with greek instruments to play for us. Went to bar, ...

... This hotel is a bit average ( it's the same one we stayed in last time) and we have the added bonus of "******** pigeons" on our balcony. Judging by the mess there must be hundreds of them, so no G&T on the balcony!! We had a couple of hours before thinking of dinner so we wandered the streets and plakas. Up past classy shops with designer dresses and shoes and ...
