This was is strikingly in tact - a beautiful youth indeed! The prototype Omphalos stone has not yet been located but two ancient copies have been found. One is on the site; one is in the museum. It is safe to say that Greece has been the absolute highlight so far on the trip. I have had an amazing couple of weeks travelling through four of the islands with the flexible tour company, Busabout. How it works is you basically pay for your transport and a guide. ... gold jewelry from that period, as well as gold encrusted swords and golden masks.

The museum also contained a vast collection of ancient sculptures. From classical busts to full figures, these ancient works of art depicted men and gods alike. But woe betide the poor soul that sought to pose beside these statues for a fun souvenir picture. As I stood beside a statue of Zeus, pretending to throw a thunderbolt as any normal human being would, I was instructed by one of ...

... went off on his own, as well at Molly, Michael, and Birol. The girls took a couple tables in the shade and ordered water and coffee/fraps. While we were sitting there, two teenage boys came to one fo the girls tables and was asking for money like they always do. We said no and waved them away, but they were very persisted. They waved their maps and hands at their table and started messing with our things for nearly two minutes before sneakily picking up ...
