    ... from the bus station in the 40˚C heat with backpacks in tow, we first reached the beautiful Kujundžiluk, or Old Bazaar, where, between the tourists, we first gained our view of the Old Bridge, that had famously been rebuilt just ten years previously after destruction during the Bosnian War in 1993.

    We had about an hour to get organized and have a short rest, and then at 16:00 we met a local guide for a historic walking tour through the town. We adjourned to the outside patio of the hotel, which was a bit noisy from traffic and pedestrian noise so I couldn’t hear all the commentary.     ... up another miracle meal - sausage casserole - out of pretty much no ingredients and we cracked a bottle of our Bulgarian red wine.     ... in all of Eastern Europe, "Pita", which she has eaten a million times at her friend Stela's house.She had been tricked because all of the bakeries call it "Burek" in most places.
