After a hearty American breakfast, Bruce & MJ took us on a trip to the north end of the island to the Barnegat lighthouse. It is no longer in operation but still very much an icon of "The Shore"..

Pretty quiet afternoon - most of Bruce & Mary Jrelatives were still here after the wedding yesterday so met them all and we just basically sat around - pretty cold outside today so it was a nice interlude.

Great BBQ dinner and nice wine to finish off the day. ...

... New Yorkers and Washingtonions!

B & MJ and their daughter Darryl had to go a wedding so we went for a little trip downtown - found a nice bar/restaurant called Gateway which was pretty good - very much a local pub which we like! Food and drinks all good!

home to watch the sunset - yep I know Jersey is on the East Coast but not this part of it - yep we face west so get the gorgeous sunsets!

Wellsboro downtown

Wellsboro is a unique rural town off of Route 287 and Route 6. It brings back memories of the small town atmosphere from the 1950's and 1960's. City is well kept and a variety of eateries to suite your taste. Trees line downtown and there is still that old style movie theater.

Many great attractions with Pine Creek Trail nearby and the PA Grand Canyon. They have a nice Wellsboro Diner, The Steak House, and much more.

... timber gold mind back in the 1800's and early 1900's. The timber would be cut and sent down the river to Williamsport, Pennsylvania where saw mills where located. The greenery in June is breathtaking from Colton State Park overlooking miles and miles of timber and mountains. On a clear day as we chose, you can see for miles over the treetops. It is truly a scenic site. If you are hearing, you will ...
