... sea lions that live under and around a pier at Avila beach. We tried to find the Hartford Pier with the seafood and sea lions. We didn’t find it yesterday because we didn’t realize little Avila beach has three piers and Hartford pier is the last one. But, we found it today! And saw the precious sea lions that I’d held out hope for and that Dave had doubted were there. I was elated!!! They are so cute!

We had fun doing lots of other things but next time we will have to make sure we enjoy those grapes!

Thick fog greeted us this morning, a common occurrence around here.

We headed back up the coast to Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. Here there is an amazing cove with a 100 foot waterfall, called McWay Falls, which falls onto the beach - a picture postcard view of Big Sur. We got there and it just started to fog up. Shocking how quickly it changes. We took a few foggy pictures ...

... In a bathtub and just a pretty stretch of beach alongside a road! Disappointment yes but lunch was nice and we even had a good chat to an old guy fishing at the pier. We drive off again admiring the scenery and start opening up into what looks to be farmland. As I look closer it becomes apparent that we are driving through thousands of acres of strawberry fields (some photos for you there dad). We even found some right along side ...
