    ... 3 August, we crammed everything on the bike and bolted. There were still dozens of small problems to sort, but these would get attention in the days and weeks ahead. Experience has given us this bias for action. Rather than try and sort every problem, we tend to get moving and pick up the pieces later. And that is what we are doing now, pushing north, across the California Central Valley and up the Sierra Nevada heading for Canada and sorting out the little things as we go.

    ... to have a great day and Bruce was in his glory getting to surf on Father's Day! Aimee felt so lucky to get to spend the day with her Dad being this far away from home! We still can't believe that with all those wineries around us we didn't get to even one! I guess that's how it goes when traveling with kids! We had fun doing lots of other things but next time we will have to make sure we enjoy those grapes!

    After breakfast and packing up, we hit the road, northward again. After a short drive we end up in Morro Bay. After a second breakfast at a small bagel shop popular with locals and their canines, we go the the small seaside town's focal point - a huge rock (Morro Rock).
