      After a few hours hanging out here, two more of Thomas's house mates turned up in a boat they had launched further up the lake, John and Alex. So Ben got a birthday fishing trip. The fishing trip was pretty cool, and they had a tank for putting live fish in, so we could take three of the bigger bass that were caught, and take them back to the house for dinner.

      Today Captain Jim took us out on the high seas to catch some fish in the Pacific Ocean. The girls all tried their hand at fishing and we caught a total of four fish. It was a beautiful day on the ocean and we also saw several families of sea otters. Later that afternoon we cooked an English dinner for the family. Unfortunately the grocery store didn't have many English products so we made sausages and roast potato skewers and mini fish finger ...

      ... to have a great day and Bruce was in his glory getting to surf on Father's Day! Aimee felt so lucky to get to spend the day with her Dad being this far away from home! We still can't believe that with all those wineries around us we didn't get to even one! I guess that's how it goes when traveling with kids! We had fun doing lots of other things but next time we will have to make sure we enjoy those grapes!

      ... We made our way south on Highway 1, stopping at the many turnouts to take photos of this extraordinarily beautiful coastline. We came to the Bixby Bridge and again, stopped and took more photos of the bridge and of the coastline.
