This morning when we woke up we had the surprise of a grey and foggy weather. It was so humid that the haze was dropping like little rain. This was probably adding to the charm if this region. ... br> As we waddled back to the Jeep we saw a sign, Back Room Wines. We read on the door that they have wine tasting for $10.00. On Friday’s they have wine tasting for wines with prices under $15…I think that sounds like fun…Harlan says those will give us a headache….but aren’t we into low priced wines? Saturday we can taste wines from wineries that don’t have tasting rooms. I’ll have to campaign for this one.

... if there is a strike that will mean that the one car they have will be on the roads with thousands (if not millions) of other people and cars that can't use the BART/buses.

Fortunately, by the time we got back to the coach, temps had dropped considerable so by about midnight, the A/C's went off. Rest of week, until Friday, it is supposed to hit the high mark records---we'll see. This ex-Kansas boy doesn't handle humidity very good.

Who hasn't heard of the Napa Valley? Well it is true that nobody knew about this wine region of California before 1976 and the '’judgment of Paris’’ that made it famous in the movie Bottle Shock. I will let you rent the DVD, but to make a long story short, that day a blind wine tasting took place in France and the Californian bottles from the Napa Valley beat the French most famous wines.
