The next morning we scurried to the J'burg bus station to Maputo bus and rode the bus to the Mozambique border where we met Randy, my son.

Riding the bus with Sarah, the fastest sandwich eater in the world, was great fun.

Ok, not entirely true. It is actually t-2 and t-1, but hey, this requires some attention and hell I'm way too excited....... This things gotta get started! Convinced it is the first time that I am packed, more then an hour prior to leaving the house. Packing is not a forte, and is usually left for the last minute. Not complex, just the basics and you ready to go.... The "forgotten" can be bought or done without. Mmmmm...... Ok not this time. A bike trip following ...

... worth it!!!

Kruger is MASSIVE & I knew that but being there and looking out to a forever of open areas is amazing... And to also start the day with the reddest sun I've ever seen!!! (pictures just don't do it juatice)

It took a little bit to see our first game for the day.... Giraffe!!!! Ohhhh they are beautiful animals, I did see a few today but each one just looked & felt that little bit different :-)

... doing well until Don crashed through jump 6. He threw Jean up on his neck and she ended up with her right leg on his LHS and her left foot in the stirrups. Thankfully though she could stop him and to a loud cheer managed to remount without hitting the ground and continued the rest of the round. They ended up with 13 faults which wasn't bad considering and made for some funny photos. Jean at least had a sense of humour about it which was good and since we weren't going to be in ...
