... in the dark we never investigated it until the next day. When we went to take the motorhome for a test drive and found out we couldn't retract the slide outs . Aaaghhh ...so. We found an RV place and bought some hydraulic oil and filled up and with fingers crossed tried again and Voila the slides went in. We breathed a sigh of relief. We are. time and pretend we were ...

... along broad river valleys. The countryside featured acres of corn or forests of autumn shades. We eventually arrived, just in time for a bite of tea and a swim.
We explored the area around Lancaster which is made up of lots of farm land and little villages, as well as covered bridges. Saw several Amish families going about their daily business, many of the businesses are owned and run by ...

... hurricane Irene. Was hoping to duck down to catch the O's and Yankees game, but at this point, I'm doubting it will be played Saturday night.

I did get to see my old high school friend Hylon Plumb, who lives nearby in Lancaster - we went out to a smoky local bar for a beer and a burger. Was good to catch up with him, as I know it will be good to catch up with people in York, for however long I get to stay before Irene chases me westward!
