... the 1.7 miles along the waterfront at the suggestion of someone on our tour. Well, we saw some of Portland's finest homeless people. As someone told us, this is the place that young people come to retire since the climate is typically temperate and the social programs take care of them.

Two days in Portland gave us a brief overview, not enough time to do this cute town justice, especially when you spend 1 1/2 of them in shopping malls!! The good news is that the essential shopping is finished and anything else is just because. No driving today.....spent the day exploring the city.


After the beautiful weather of yesterday we woke up to cold and rain. Despite this we wandered down town from the hostel for our 10 am bike tour of the city.
