We've been in Canada for just over a week now, and so far so good…kind of. The fierce little nighthawks have returned from their migration and are feeding in the exact location they have been for the past 30+ years. Although they mysteriously disappeared on us for two days, they are back in full force and last night we managed to catch three females (they are so cool!). We are only interested in catching nighthawks ...

Despite my advancing years I have been allowed to produce the clog today.

Our first morning in Sandpiper House and we awoke to the sound of the ocean which we didnt really see until about 5pm (that's BC time folks). Once the sea fog cleared we strode out and took some pictures of our beach house and environs which are attached herewith.

Did we make full use of the hot tub today - you betcha!

Today we learned that our ...

We went for another hike, the same day. Milner Gardens has a light show that was very nice. We were especially impressed with the lights made from plastic water bottles.

Today we drove about 3.5 hours over the mountains ...
