... as American Bald Eagles (me, I just see birds). There must have been 15 or so of them which surprised me somewhat until we were told that the Deputy Sheriff comes out every day and throws chicken and fish scraps out for them. Not exactly the ideal eco situation but it made for a great photo opportunity! In addition to the eagles the meat scraps attract the local foxes even though it the middle of the day. Manuel won a good chunk of money playing poker, ...

... 8217;t really gone to bed . . . but we hear fireworks about 10:00 p.m. . . . but really loud . . . remember that symphony? Well, it was the conclusion of the 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky . . . and it concludes with cannons timed with the music (BTW, it has nothing to do with the British and Americans in The War of 1812 . . . it was written to acknowledge/celebrate the defeat of Napoleon by the Russians!!). Yes, I had to look that up . . . so now you won’t have to!!!
