Luckily we weren't feeling to under the weather and we got up and went to hire bikes to go for a ride. We rode as far down Venice beach as we could before the track ran out and then rode alongside where we had walked the previous day to Santa Monica pier.         ... br> Leaving Solvang, Peter and I visited Ventura, were we had lunch at Peirano's Restaurant opposite the Mission San Buenaventura. This Spanish Mission was founded by the Franciscans on March 31, 1782. For lunch Peter and I opted for a health choice of salads.

        Leaving Ventura, we returned to Venice Beach to join Lydia and Drazen for dinner at the favourite Echigo Japanese Sushi restaurant.

        ... resist a bookstore, we stopped and perused guide books on Southeast Asia. Seeing the beautiful pictures and descriptions of the flavors in store for us, I was definitely reinvigorated for the trip. For dinner we headed to Tender Greens in Santa Monica, a healthy (and hip) establishment highly recommended by Saran.
