    ... many different railways I
    have no idea what it will bring. One minute its plodding along on old jointed
    rails and another its flying along on hi speed welded track so only time will
    tell.

    Breakfast
    starts at 6am tomorrow morning and so i have arranged to meet Elizabeth at the
    diner for 7 and have breakfast together. We are due to arrive into Montreal
    about 09h30 where I then catch a hi speed train to Toronto.

    ... Mario Kart in the living area. We played, and I won, and then we headed out for food.

    The immediate impression I got of Montreal was that there was not a great deal to be there, and was grateful for having booked just two nights. After speaking to a few people in the hostel however, everyone spoke extremely highly of the city.     ... on Sunday and the others were too far away. While everyone was making calls and trying to figure out how we were going to get back to Boston, the girls and I decided to fuel them with some Starbucks coffee and make the best out of the situation. Eventually we found out that there was a Budget Car Rental place at the Montreal airport, which is the company we rented a car from in Boston.     ... most beautiful strawberries I have ever eaten.

    Caught the bus home, going most of the length of rue Sainte-Catherine, which is the main commercial street of downtown Montreal, so many interesting shops and not many people about. These large North American towns are fairly flat, and some streets can go for miles.

    When we got home about 5pm, the temperature was -18, feels like -28. And about to get colder. The boys are in a cottage in Yorkshire for 5 days ...

    ... a bike. It was a huge shame when we noticed the bike shop was closed. Oh well we thought we can walk, weve been walking loads so another day wont hurt.. Off we strolled East on the islands heading along the road, passing by big trees, beautiful green grass and flower gardens.
