Having said all that, I don't think it's really even about the places you go, or even the wonderful people you meet. Its about the time, the precious time you spend with each other and the experiences you share, before everything changes, before real life crowds in and takes over. - This brief time together; it's everything, its priceless... it's all we have.
This morning started out sad. We had to say goodbye to 9 members of our Contiki family. A few of us were up at 4am to say goodbye, luckily I managed to get back to sleep for a few hours before getting back on the coach for our drive back to the states. Tomorrow we visit Niagara Falls!!! The group will then go their separate ways with half flying home and the rest staying in Canada for private holidays! ... at Newark delaying the occasional flight. Also seeing some weather on the radar, could be adding to it. Damn. Still, the arrival time was planned to get us to our hotel just before check-in and also to have us cabbing through NYC during non-rush hour. An hour won't make much of a difference.
So it's about noon now, so we shouldn't have to wait too much longer. We'll do our best to take lots of pictures and keep the blog going while we're away.
