Divide and conquer was the plan this morning. Group breakfast and then head our separate ways to achieve the morning tasks. Fiona - Pilates teaching, Matt and big girls - food procurement, Jen - supervise the little three and keep the house from looking like a battle zone. All tasks achieved!

... the Ferry Terminal (mainly to look where we had to catch our bus to the airport tomorrow), we ended up walking along the pier and taking in the awesome view of the Auckland Bridge and out over the area of Devonport and Rangitoto Island (a dormant volcano)!! Walking back towards the city we noticed some people in the Ferry Terminal playing some giant jenga and a few other oversized games. We popped in and had a few goes on ...

... spirit in the kitchen! Her mother is a nurse in a local hospital, whom I did not meet until later due to her shifts. She is very warm and welcoming and always happy to talk. Helen has a younger brother aged six, called Daniel. He is a delight; always playful and desirous of attention. He calls me 'UK guy' and enjoys his large collection of guns, lego and playing on his iPad.

... car lover's dream. At least the copious amount of bumps, scratches and dents meant I would literally have had to have the car crushed to lose our deposit. The diagram of the car where the company highlights the scratches looked like a child's colouring in book. We didn't care though as we had wheels and so we put the tunes on and set out for northern Auckland. Our first stop on our NZ adventure was with Angela and Geoff who we had met in Africa.
