Ferry to Wellington, NZ and beyond

Today was our last day on the South Island. We woke up in the Picton Top Holiday RV Park, had a leisurely breakfast and headed for the ferry terminal where we had a 1 PM departure for Wellington. We stopped to refuel because the diesel tank was drained of gasoline by the garage in Blenheim and they only put in five liters of diesel. We arrived early and got in the camper queue. ... have as a picnic lunch during the long road back to Great Falls on Saturday so we put everything into the refrigerator with that as our plan. The rest of the evening is spent catching up on yesterday’s episode of Big Brother and, the usual games, chats, Facebook and email. Another day is done.

... we did go up to over 7000ft from around 5000 ft, it didn't feel like a hard hike. Dimming down was harder as we used the wider ski runs and these were pretty steep going down and ******* the legs, a good mornings hike though with beautiful scenery of the surrounding mountains . ... too...some areas were so steep we just slid down on our butts, which left me with so many spotted bruises all over my butt, I looked like a dalmatian!! I still managed to have the best time!
