On Long Island Beach, there is one main North-South road. In the height of "season" the traffic is very heavy from early in the day 'til late. It wasn't bad today. All the stores are having end of season sales.
We move down to Maryland tomorrow. See you there!!

... burnt off to be a sunny day, but despite not feeling hotter or muggier than previous days I still caught the sun. When I got back to Phily I again cut over to the art gallery. The festival equipment had been removed so I could gleefully run up the steps like Sly Stallone all those years ago. And I wasn't the only one. There were loads of people running about. The key differences were they were actually kitted out in proper running gear, and didn't have dumb grins on ...
Atlantic City with Susy and family. Left early and drive 2 hours. Had lunch at a burger place while the family had Panda Express. Lay by the beach for a while. Had a quick swim. Played kick the ball with the kids. Walked along the boardwalk. Had funnel cake. Waaay too sugary! Had pizza slice and chicken parma with pasta and salad and baked potatoes. Drove back around 8. Had ice cream sandwich on the way ...
... The hike was enjoyable and very easy-going. Luke seemed to manage the hike with ease, running most of the time, sweating and drinking obsessively out of his Camelback. We did realize the importance of getting hiking shoes for Luke, as he wore his sandals and stopped every two minutes to get sand or rocks out of them. Add this to the list.
All and all, a great little hike!

Initial Opinion - Gwen and I tried this in the store and really liked it. I also inflated one (actually it inflated itself...in about 15 minutes) in the house and Luke and I tried it. They are very comfortable in the store and house, but we'll see how they fare on rough ground at the campsites.
