This part of the country is so cool because you can jump around from so many states and big cities all within a two hour time frame. We left Asbury park and arrived at Seaside heights which was about an hour from Asbury and was solely on an island. This was the real boardwalk of Jersey with carnival rides and games,shops and food. Today was an exciting day! We began by driving to Brick Town, New Jersey where Tommy was born and lived until his family moved to South Carolina when he was two. The home on Kettle Creek Drive was built by his father and grandfather right on the waterway. We stopped at the home and Tommy asked the owner if we could walk out back to look at the dock and boats.
