... above us on the peaks but here will be 28o again as well, so nice and warm. The mountain range we are going through now are the Coastal Mountain Ranges. The bus trip in the morning was very pleasant going. Our first stop was at Shannon falls, lots of water, and very high too. Back on the bus again for the trip to the Ferry. At 1230 the bus drove straight on to the ferry which was very big ( Tasmanian ferry ...

Rented a car in downtown Vancouver to drive over to Victoria and visit the Butchart Gardens. Traffic in Vancouver rivals anything in Texas! Driving south out of Vancouver, we went through a beautiful area of "river oaks" type homes that went on for miles. This was probably 7 miles from downtown.

Boarded the ferry for the 1.5 hour ride over to Victoria. Lots of folks on the ...

... beautiful walk at the beach. It was a pebble beach but I loved climbing the rocks, as well as seeing a few kite surfers flying over the waves...

My last evening was concluded with a pleasant sunset walk around the other side of the harbor. I finally got to see the huge (!!) cruise ship and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the Parliament Building all light up like a Christmas tree. Sadly I couldn't take a picture of it.

We had to work on Halloween which sucked but we still got to celebrate that night. We quickly went out and bought a bunch of candy for some trick or treaters but nobody showed up. Bugger. We also went for a drive around some subdivisions to see all the houses decorated and the kids trick or treating. In some areas there were heaps of people around all going from house to house and lots of houses just leave there front doors open to welcome the trick or treaters. Some of ...
