Weather overcast, travellers fulfilling big ambition (for Nigel) After delicious smoked salmon on scrambled eggs for breakfast we set off at 8:00 for the ferry terminal to leave the island of Mull. Worryingly the car wouldn't start, until we realised the only technical problem was that the clutch had to be pressed to deactivate the starting lock! Re-energised, we set off down the slippery, sloping pathway to the waterfront below the hotel. The brightly coloured shopfronts contain a variety of souvenir, tea, boating paraphernalia and restaurant businesses. ...

We saw the homeland of the Stewart clan and found out that some distant relative swapped Castle Stalker for a Ship in a drunken card game, whilst others had had their land taken off them by their sworn enemies the Campbell clan, the 'yes men' to the English. Sooner than we thought we arrived at ...

... search of deers. They were apparently hiding with the otters as the deer were seen in numbers by our Scottish female friends the day before.

Jenny arrived back in time for us to wander down the track to meet the ferry. We got our luggage onto the ferry and we made ourselves comfortable for our ride back to Mallaig. Once back o the mainland we had fish and ...
