... who live in caves and stay out of the way of humans. Ross explained that the locals near the fairy glen actually wrote to the tour company and asked that they not take unbelievers to see the glen, so, we all became believers, for a short time anyway. The fairies have to be pleased so it is tradition to take nothing, not a stick or rock, and to leave something. I had a mint wrapped in cellophane with the Air ...

... We may see it Friday when we return. We arrived in Plockton at about 4:30, so I have a nice break before dinner at 7. I am settled into my B&B, a smaller place, only Cheryl and I are staying here, the others are elsewhere. So, it will be very quiet. Plockton is delightful, I'll get pictures before I leave. Dusk is very early, we are so far north now, and with the heavy cloud cover, too dark for nice ...

We met some lovely people on the way home, then tried to get our washing done, the first since arriving, but the only laundromat in the area was closed. Tom went for a swim at the public pool down the road and delighted in being allowed to dive in from the edge. We are so over governed in ...

Getting to Scotland we drove for hours and hours and hours. When we got there the views were amazing. Luckily we had Harry Potter to listen to in the car. We listened to 2 books there and back. Finally we arrived at the cottage on the Isle of Skye at 6pm. Mum decided to go for this one because it had Cath Kidston fabrics and lots of crochet inside. On our first morning we walked up to the Old ...
