... found out that you were Narrowboating, you were much less of a tourist and more a new acquaintance traveling in their area. The opportunity to interact with the local citizens was limitless. Since we missed our dog, we liked meeting the dogs the were out walking with their owners. Other boaters were at the locks and mooring sites. Eating out was never a hurried event and we could visit with waitstaff, other diners or pub staff. Would we do it again? ...

... then a piece of Brownie (which we took away). We did a spot of shopping at a Garden Centre then onto Cub Foods for Roisine's extensive grocery shop - 4 items!! Back home in time for a couple of glasses of Champagne in the back garden followed by a glass of Pomegranate Liqueur that I bought the last time I was here in 2008!! Early to bed tonight at ...

... to a thrift store and another antique/collectible store. I scored a ginger jar...it was an old ceramic piece that had been part of a set of spice jars. I hadn't thought to add any more to my collection of ginger tins & jars, but this one was a steal at $3. Normally, they're priced at $30 and up. (I guess I understand why dealers frequently won't break up the sets; I collect them because Ginger's my name. There probably aren't too many Nutmegs ...

... but I’m glad I stayed up because we had a really good dinner. We had steak with lots of vegetables, and for dessert we had raspberry pie! It was a very scrumptious night!
Kirby is a dentist so he looked at our teeth. He said that my teeth were fine but I might need braces really soon.


We finished dinner and then went down to the basement to play some table tennis and foosball! Taylor won on like all of the games we played. ...

... a nice, healthy dinner with her mom (instead of the fried food that is ubiquitous on the road). We also had a chance to see Jennifer's brother Brian and our nephew Ethan today - it was great to see how excited Isaac was to be the "big" cousin for a change. Like all good days, it ended with a slumber party - Aviva sharing a bed with Adilynn, and Jennifer falling asleep next to Isaac while tucking him ...
