Now installed in wood cabin here in Evergreen, CO after sprint up i70 from Grand Junction. This time nostalgia trip for Brandi, bank where she worked still there 35 years later exactly the same, been shown her window (building not teller) where she used to look out of. Apparently she introduced colleagues to the "Martini Lunch" at the Little Bear ...

... got to taste the beer and all I can say is a big YUK definitely not my kind of beer. After we left the brewery we drove onto Denver Airport where the Tour came to an end said our farewells to Bill and Sue and Rebecca and Ryan and of course Rebecca our fabulous tour guide.

Was an awesome tour and would highly recommend to anyone both Charlie and I loved it and what we got to see and the lovely people we met. ...

... the gateway to Capital Reef Park, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and a whole lot of slot canyons, as I discovered. I ate in the gas station that night and I think I was one of four people in town. Peak season isn't until May. I did some Googling and researched a network of slot canyons within 25 miles of the main road. I turned south onto a dirt road, gave some extra love to the VW, set my odometer to watch for mile marker ...

... the big cat area. We excitedly checked them out from both inside and outside. Not only were there multiple tigers, they were chasing eachother around outside and one was wading in a swimming pool playing with a floating bouy. There were also two others sleeping in the indoor side of their pens. Also catching some sleep were two snow leopards, an amur leopard and it's baby, and a couple of hyenas.
