If you would like a time in Heaven...

from

... just spend your vacation time at the Inn Paradise B & B with Major and Connie. We loved our 8 days at Inn Paradise, we stayed in the King Kaumualii Suite and it was lovely. We certainly plan to return and spend more time with the two of them. Loved it!

The Perfect Location

from

We love our time on Kauai your location is perfect. From hearing the parrots say "Hello and Aloha" (they sound like Connie), to the very friendly cats who were quite persistent in seeking attention. Both boys enjoyed playing with the cats and back gammon.

We enjoyed seeing Opeakaa Falls, hiking the Kuilau Ridge Trial, followed by a dip in the "swimming pool" at the end of the road (Keahua Arboretum). We especially enjoyed our tour of the Hindu Monastery - very beautiful and relaxing. The boys were impressed with the playground at Lydgate Park, especially knowing Major & Connie had contributed their skills in the construction of it.

Our favorite restaurants locally were the ribs at Scotty's, fried calamari and wasabi crusted fish at Coconuts, the appetizer's at Duke's at Kalapaki Beach were good, especially after a day of boogie boarding and volleyball.

Most of all, we thank you Major and Connie for your spirit of aloha. Your graciousness makes Kauai a very special place.

Luscious surroundings

from

Luscious surroundings is how you describe Inn Paradise as you take the drive to the B&B and look over the back yard from the back porch. Very quiet and one can enjoy sounds of being in the jungle with all the birds.

Major and Connie's hospitality is outstanding from their aloha greeting, to their clean and comfortable accommodations, wonderful pets, continental breakfast upon arrival, private rooms and parking.

Plenty of items are available for you to make a decision on all the activites you would like to do, or not........just sit back and relax.

It was so nice to have our own place. No rush for getting out to a restaurant for breakfast. And, if you haven't been to Kauai there are some must sees.....wonders of the world. I used to live on Kauai, and went back to visit to view and hike the canyon and take a boat trip around the Na Pali coast. Also attended Smith's Tropical Luau. I highly recommend going to see the show.

There is no better place and people in Kauai

from

I wish to thank Major and Connie for the most hospitable time I have ever had (short of home with Mom on Christmas). The property is lovely, the proprietors are lovelier. This place is top of its class in comfort, ambience, and company.

There is even entertainment. Meet Major Inch, one of the most eccentric geniuses in the Pacific Ocean and beyond.

There is certainly class. Meet Connie Inch, one of the keenest and perceptive peple I have ever met.

Hope to see them both again.

Simply Awesome!

Kauai is simply awesome! The Queen Kapule Suite Inn Paradise is simply the best equipped holiday apartment that I've seen! The best to Major & Connie, see you in Germany next time.

Simply the BEST ROOMS!

Aloha:

As a world traveler I have stayed at a variety of Hotels and B&B's over the last 30 years. What I truly enjoyed about my Inn Paradise visit was my Lovely host's; Major & Connie they are two of the sweetest people on this earth and will do everything to make your holiday as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. You feel as if you are staying at a friend's house. When you leave, you realize you have experienced just that, as they will become your friends for life. The location is ground zero for the Island and Major & Connie are most informative and knowledgeable. The Suites are perfectly appointed, extremely clean as well as comfortable, while being situated in a very relaxed and tranquility atmosphere. They may not be on the Beach, but they are only a few minutes away and at $70 to $95 a night a true bargain. The interaction with Major and Connie you will experience alone is worth your visit. Do visit them and give them a "Big Aloha Hug" for me! :)

We Felt like Royalty......

from

What a wonderful week we had here!! It was so relaxing despite all the things we did and saw. The best part about our vacation was the location, it was perfect, half way between everthing. It was always nice at the end of an exhausting day to say "Let's go home." We felt like we were royalty staying in the Prince Kuhio suite. I truly believe that our vacation would not have been as nice or more memorable if we would have stayed anywhere else! Your little Secret Oasis here has been delightful. We loved the Ice Machine, perfect for filling the coolers.

Paradise Found!

from

Thanks so very much for being such a gracious host. We've never stayed in a "Bed-n-Breakfast" before, but somehow I don't believe we will ever stay in one as unbelievably wonderful as yours! Your hospitality was greatfully welcomed. Ruby and I loved the immaculate yard (tropical garden), view of the mountains, and avians (birds) they were all wonderful. We truly enjoyed our anniversary on Kauai and you helped to make it special. We are sorry that we missed Connie but sure well meet her when we return (We couldn't possibly stay anywhere else now that we've experienced paradise!) When we retell our trip to Hawaii with friends, we'll certainly tell them not to miss the wonderful experience of staying at Inn Paradise. Mahalo & Aloha- May God bless your family & home.

... takes about a hundred metres after you start it to see why. It's all rocks, and very steep. We made it about 4 miles and this took us 3 hours! Hard going, but the most striking scenery you're ever likely to see anywhere on planet earth so worth every step. We left before 7am which is the only time to do it when temperatures are bearable.

It's been a great trip full of wonders. I can see why so many people love Hawaii. Every island feels ...

I ate chicken satay sticks with spicy peanut sauce, salad, Steak Dianne with vegetables and THE most yummiest cheesecake slice - Pineapple with a macadamia nut base - Phhoooarrr !!! Doug had a fruit cup, chilled cherry with Pinot soup, tiger prawns with stir fried ...

What will the weather be in the next 20 minutes ??

It seems that the north end of Kauai Island has the greatest variance in weather due to the influences of trade winds and the huge mountains situated in the centre of the island. Mount Waialeale and Mount Kawaaikini tower over 5000 feet in height, nearly 1600 metres. The area is only accessible by helicopter, with roads only skirting the coastline for three quarters of the island. The mountainous area in the centre of the island receives the highest annual rainfall ...

... So we didn't stay too long.

But the other cool thing about the pool area, was that there was a bar and restaurant at the end by the ocean. And by the time we were done swimming, it was happy hour! So we went and had a couple beers while enjoying the ocean views.

We had a late supper of chicken fettucini, courtesy of Costco. Then we watched a video my brother had made of our last trip to Hawaii, seven years ago.I ...

... to swim until we saw 2 elderly American ladies take the plunge after which we joined them. There was no stopping us after that and we made up for lost time. We did the same on Wednesday. I showered and changed after returning from the beach and around 5.30pm Cherie picked me up to take Annie and I to a ladies's meeting at her church, where she was doing a talk on nutrition. It went well, Cherie was very good and we ended the evening enjoying several different flavours of ...
