I am in love with Philadelphia. Truly, madly, deeply in love with this city. The city of brotherly love. After falling asleep around three this morning, I could NOT move when our alarm went off to untape the girl’s doors at 7. Winter offered to do all of mine for me, which was great except for the fact that it allowed me to fall asleep until 7:05 and we had to be downstairs for the bus at 7:20. ... Ferry terminal to pick us up in the car (brave woman, driving through busy Manhattan streets!) and then drove us out to Philadelphia to stay with her parents there for a couple of nights. Lovely large (and QUIET) house in a plush residential neighbourhood with deer and groundhogs in the back gardens, a world apart from the hectic New York streets.
