    Oct.10th

    We left Dummerston and took a scenic highway. The hills were finally showing some of the famous color we were told about. We stopped at a high viewpoint on Hogback Mountain and we could see the colorful hills stretching off for miles. We were so glad we took the slow scenic route today.     My grandma passed away peacefully surrounded by her family yesterday early afternoon. Thank you to everyone for their well wishes and prayers.

    Today is John and my 13th wedding anniversary. A bit bittersweet, but pretty wonderful to spend it with family. Our family bought us a gift card to a local restaurant for an anniversary dinner tonight. There is so much love here right now.

    ... notch, loving, supportive, and caring show, that doubt would have been dashed away last night when I told our road manager that we had to leave immediately (before the show was even over). John didn't do finale and friends all over the lot came out of the woodwork to give us hugs, prayers, and well wishes.
