    ... during the thick of the storm. The afternoon Dartmouth Coach buses were canceled in the morning but the afternoon ones ran. We were just about the only vehicle on the road and I arrived to find the usually very busy South Station deserted. Even McDonalds was closed. The Massachusetts governor had just declared a state of emergency and told to taxis to stay home. My taxi driver said that he had bills to pay and he was grateful for the fare. ...

    A quiet retreat at Mecca Beach

    ... species. The weather was glorious! We found a lovely quiet, rustic spot at Mecca Beach. The beach was very unusual...instead of sand the shoreline was entirely empty barnacles with dead fish here and there! We later found out during the Second World War the military float planes came in and introduced barnacles. They had no predictors and clung to each other as there were no rocks, and storms washed them ashore. We hiked about ...

    We woke up a little later and had breakfast at the hotel and then went back to Costco to buy W a few shirts and pants plus wine and a pair of white cropped jeans for me�� then we were off to Chicos where I bought a couple of camisoles, pair of runners at New Balance, tea for Erik and Kara at Teavana and some T shirts for me at Loft.
