    We went to the local county Health Department today to have another series of shots ---- Hep B and Typhoid. Hep B is given in 3 shots. I will need another after 4 weeks and the last one within 4 - 6 months. Typhoid vaccine lasts for 2 years. previously had Hep A vaccination and a booster shot and updated my tetanus. We are not getting Yellow Fever or ...

    ... to have for extended stays. Since we are only going the carry on route, I will just buy toiletries when I get to Chile. A time to try out some new and different products. Not sure what the restrictions on for International travel with liquids. Easier to just buy shampoo, etc when we get there.

    Year 2, Day 113 - Today Nick and I visited the town of Henderson, NC. This town sits among the Blue Ridge Mountains at 2,200 feet above sea level. It is a picturesque and quaint town with lots of diversity. I understand that as far back as 100 years ago, people favored this area for retirement (instead of Florida), because it offered all 4 seasons, along with temperate winters.
