We went to Walmart bought a bottle of wine and few bits and pieces, Maggie has brought a new camera so she can load it on her iPad so she does not need to take out her iPad everyday! ... We then visited the Sliding Rock Falls, again we were at the wrong place. Again it was fun to watch all the children having fun. Third time lucky we found the Looking Glass Falls. A few hills to start with and the usual tree lined carriageways. 250 miles later, lots more mountains and the usual shower of rain we arrived in Asheville ( a ...

It is a picturesque and quaint town with lots of diversity. I understand that as far back as 100 years ago, people favored this area for retirement (instead of Florida), because it offered all 4 seasons, along with temperate winters.

    ... like consistency.

It was nice and misty on our ride out this morning along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We stopped at many of the overlooks to get scenic shots.

Note to self...turn off bluetooth head set when having a tinkle in public toilet at an overlook with helmet on...you are not alone...when washing my hands I got a fright when Paul said 'haha I heard you tinkle'...we laughed so hard ...
