There won't be much roughing it as the cabin is gorgeous from the pictures we have seen. I can't wait to slip on a sweater in the morning and have coffee on the deck while smelling the beautiful pine trees that surround the property. There is a hiking trail right across the street and several lakes nearby where we can picnic and fish.

South Mountain park was surprising. I expected a lush mountain park like what we saw in Virginia. I didn't know a mountain could be so bare. ... like about four times that due to the heat, we bought a day pass for the Deuce bus, which runs 24 hours up and down the strip. Our first stop was the Treasure Island hotel, where we went inside for our first taste of Vegas.
