... Any time your on the road you have to look out for those hazards. Especially if your lower to the ground like we are. Anyway it turned out to be a very wet day and nice ride.
We spent our second day heading on down to Illinois. We stopped in Hobart, IN to ride another Rails to Trails called Prairie Duneland Trail. We rode 15 miles through lush, green lands and had lunch at a cute place called Tate's.
June 28th – Day 55
Drove back into Chicago this morning,
about half an hour, to attend City Church Chicago which is connected
with Hillsong. Great environment, good Word, happy we decided to turn
There's a local free zoo so we went
through crazy traffic and pulled in, free zoo but $25 to park.
Decided against it since we've been to a few other zoos since ...
... home, but it seems we've taken just about everything else.
Tom hit the hay on time. I finally crawled in bed at 2:30 a.m., which is typical for me on the night before vacation. Ah well...relaxation and rest is just around the corner!
... River had campers set up on the block behind main street. So of course we had to go look just for fun. Their was also a pontoon boat set up that Jim just had to see up close. It had twin Mercury engines for a total of 600 horsepower - on a 28 foot pontoon! The motors were taller than me!! We could get across Lake Murray in just a few minutes on that boat!
