... Pizzeria Il Leone Rosso (The Red Lion). The chef Nicola and steward Giovanni showed us how to make the famous Margherita pizza and then we each had a turn to make our own! We sat down in the empty restaurant to enjoy our 25th anniversary toast (wine provided) and attempted to eat the amazing feast. Sorrento was pretty, but much more city orientated, so I wasn't in the thick of things with the locals like I wss in Positano.

The Sorrento apartment was in a quiet area with lots of flash Hotels and heavy security.

I was helped by sweet old gentleman as I headed home from a walk to town, so that incredible hospitaly was still very strong in Sorrento.

Finally we arrived in Sorrento, so glad to be out of that tin can and in the fresh air.
The main street was crowded. It was Saturday night & plenty of families enjoying the atmosphere. The kids felt like everyone was looking at us. We definitely looked like the out-of-towners with our hoodies, joggers and a marshmallow Bella bambina strapped to my chest.

... the walk followed a road at first. Looking at the map, which we’d borrowed from friends of Andy’s, all the routes followed what looked like the single track roads however ours soon became a rough track although a car even came along this. Finally it became too rough and narrow for more than a path. Rain splashed on us for awhile and dark skies made us put our waterproofs on. Third thing to note that no traffic rules apply to the thousands of Scooters that buzz around the coast. A the sweet smell of two stroke engines and the shrill buzz they produce.
