We passed beautiful beautiful coastline and country side today, it was lovely but the camera on my phone just doesn't work through windows. Setting off at 7.30 we didn't arrive in our hotel till 6, making it a big day. We caught the train to La Spezia, another to Roma, another to Naples (where we ha a lovely slice of pizza and some juice) and yet another to Sorrento, via underground tube. Full on. ... notable was the 'Sexy Pasta' shaped like genitals). Coincidentally we found our way to the water, or a few meters above it to be precise. The beach was at the bottom of a precipice and dominated mostly by wharfs owned by specific restaurants. The water looked absolutely beautiful, crystal clear and not over crowded. ... owner of the rental place rushed out in a boat to meet us with a look of relief on his face. He said the winds blew in unexpectedly and he was glad to see we were okay. His concern was only fleeting though. When I complained about the anchor not working he implied it was my fault and that I was lucky he didn't charge me for the missing anchor. I told him I'd be sure to mention him in my Trip Advisor review of his business and he refunded me some of the money. ;)

... 20 minutes, not a care in the world. Nick and I had packed snacks for our Tour of Italy. We had leftover meats and cheeses from dinner the night before and we also bought some croissants. We pulled over after a few hours for a break and to make our snacks. ... though, I went on my first run in Europe today- I learned that running on cobblestone is harder than running on sand. Both of which are harder than the cement sidewalks I am used to in America.
