... depending on your room is quite nice. It's called the meininger and is in the north west of Amsterdam. Its big and has a bar, and even a kitchen with free laundry facilities. Yay! We had to wait until 3pm to check in to our room and we were absolutely soaked. So we sat at the bar drinking hot chocolates and attempting to make soup until our room was ready. Unfortunately the soup mix that we had with us wasn't just cuppa soup. It was stock for 4 litres of soup. So ...

... We weren't there to shop, just find the tram. We looked around for signs and finally saw where we were to catch the tram… well, sort of. There were more than 6 tram kiosks in 3 different areas and no tram personnel to assist. After studying all the kiosk signs we determined we needed tram #14. ... and try not to get too lost. There is a this great app called "92-92" that we can use to navigate the trains and walking routes from one place to another. Luckily, Mom gave me her cell phone to use so I don't have to sell my home to pay for international data charges on my phone!
