    Today was one of the hardest days I've had in a long time. Today I received the news that one of my good friends, and sorority sister, passed away in a car accident. I am completely heartbroken and am having a really hard time processing the whole situation. Anna was such a kind hearted person that lit up the room with her smile and infectious laugh. She wasn't afraid of what anyone thought of her and did whatever she wanted- usually this was in the form of crazy ...

    The Greek Theatre precinct was beautiful - a stunning walk up the hill, a stadium and a garden full of sculptures of creatures and fantasy characters, from 2 artists, for children and those young at heart to enjoy. And of course, a breathtaking view at the top.

    Ciao Taormina, onto our next adventure in Syracuse. After busing down from Taormina down the hair raising curves we boarded a train from Giardini Naxos for our 2 hour train ride. We are collected from the train station by our lovely apartment owner Lorena and her father the cardiologist.
